  Xiong hongwei is now a professor in Collegeof Scietnce, Zhejiang University ofTechnology. He teaches quantum mechanics,atomic optics, etc. His research focuses oncold atomic theories, gravity, and cosmology. 

  报告摘要: 

    In this talk, we will consider the application of the statistics of large numbers to cosmology, in particular to mysterious dark energy. The Schmidt decomposition is used to consider the quantum state of the universe including spacetime. We will show that the universe wave function may be approximated as the superposition of the quantum states of different cosmological constants. The cosmological constant for a realistic observer at the present time is determined by the typical states of the universe, which is equivalent to the consideration of thermal equilibrium between dark energy and the material contents (particles, dark matter, radiation) of the universe. A surprising result is found that, based on a simple model, the ratio between dark energy due to the cosmological constant and the critical density agrees very well with current astronomical observations.
